1. Access

1.1. Entry to the museum is allowed for visitors holding valid tickets or passes. They must keep their tickets with them during their visit, as they may be asked to present them at any time.
1.2. The closure of certain rooms or sections of the museum is announced prior to ticket purchase and does not entitle visitors to discounts or refunds.
1.3. It is strictly prohibited to bring into the exhibition halls: bicycles, strollers, or other vehicles, except wheelchairs for persons with disabilities; weapons and ammunition, explosive, flammable, or volatile substances; dangerous, odorous, or excessively heavy objects.


2. Visiting Hours

2.1. The museum’s exhibitions are open from Tuesday to Sunday, between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
2.2. The last entry to the museum is 30 minutes before closing time.


3. Cloakroom and Luggage

3.1. Visitors may not enter the museum with luggage, except handbags and small backpacks, which must be carried in hand or in front, not on the back. Other large luggage items must be stored in lockers provided at the cloakroom.
3.2. In certain circumstances, the museum’s designated security personnel may request visitors to open bags and packages for inspection. Visitors must comply with such requests to ensure the implementation of these regulations.
3.3. Umbrellas, walking sticks, and other sharp objects must be left in the designated area at the exhibition entrance. Elderly visitors or persons with disabilities may use walking sticks only if they pose no risk to the safety of other visitors.
3.4. The museum is not responsible for personal belongings left unattended.


4. Guided Tours

4.1. The museum’s specialized staff provides guided tours upon request and with the payment of the respective fee. Groups may consist of up to 30 people.
4.2. Guided tours must be booked in advance by phone to ensure the availability of museum staff.


5. Photography and Video Recording

5.1. Flash photography is not allowed in any part of the museum.
5.2. Professional photo or video sessions are permitted only with the Administration’s approval, based on a contract signed by both parties.


6. Health and Safety

6.1. To ensure the safety of people and cultural heritage objects, visitors are not allowed to:

  • Smoke inside the museum;
  • Consume food or beverages in the exhibition spaces;
  • Touch heritage objects;
  • Cross barriers marking visitor-accessible areas;
  • Leave graffiti, inscriptions, marks, or other traces anywhere in the museum;
  • Run or push people or objects;
  • Obstruct visitor traffic or block access routes;
  • Disturb other visitors by using mobile phones;
  • Carry other visitors, including children, on their shoulders;
  • Leave children unattended or allow them to behave inappropriately;
  • Engage in commercial or advertising activities within the museum premises.

7. Animals

7.1. Animals are not allowed inside the museum, except for guide dogs specifically trained to assist persons with disabilities.


8. Behavior in Case of Earthquake or Fire

8.1. In the event of an earthquake, visitors must remain calm, avoid running, and refrain from using the elevator; they should wait for instructions from the museum staff.
8.2. The institution has marked alarm buttons for activating the fire alarm, as well as evacuation plans.
8.3. When the fire alarm sounds, everyone must leave the building. The evacuation should proceed in an orderly manner, under the guidance of museum staff and security personnel.


9. Staff Serving the Public

9.1. Museum staff can be identified by their badges and have the authority to ensure compliance with these regulations. In specific circumstances, staff may escort visitors out of the National Art Museum of Moldova.
9.2. Visitors must refrain from any behavior that could endanger the safety of others or the integrity of exhibits. Damaging or destroying cultural heritage items constitutes a criminal offense and is punishable under current legislation.
9.3. Supervisors, museum guides, and security agents provide information and assistance in case of any issues. Museum staff are responsible for ensuring compliance with these regulations.
9.4. Insulting or violent behavior towards museum staff is not permitted.

The museum cannot be held liable for accidents resulting from non-compliance with these regulations.
